Due to fall of temperature, Azerigas Production Unity of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) has increased gas transfer to distribution networks in Azerbaijan to 6.8 million cubic meters per day from 5 million cubic meters in summer days, SOCAR said.
Some 4 million cubic meters of the total volume was supplied to the gas distribution networks in Baku. The rest is 2.8 million cubic meters fall to the regions of the country.
Earlier, the source at the Bakgas (distributes and sells natural gas to Baku) said that in January-August the gas system of Baku received over 1.7 billion cubic meters of domestic gas. In August the figure was about 104 million cubic meters of gas compared to about 109 million cubic meters in July.
In June, over 114 million cubic metre of gas was transferred to the gas system of Baku, compared to 141 million cubic metre in May.
Last year, Bakgas transferred about 2.45 billion cubic metre of gas to the gas system of Baku.
