The ITERA International Group opened an office center in Ashgabat today. Russian President Dmitry Medvedev attended the opening ceremony during his visit to Turkmenistan.
Russian Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin, Turkmen Cabinet of Ministers Deputy Chairman Baimuratov Hojamuhammedov and Russian and Turkmen officials attended the ceremony.
The office center composes an administrative, recreational and residential building. Their total area is 5,000 square meters. The center's construction began in May 2008.
"Today we are witnessing the launch of a new large project, " ITERA International Group Board of Directors Chairman Igor Makarov said.
ITERA has operated in Turkmenistan 17 years. Together with Zarubezhneft, ITERA will launch hydrocarbon deposit exploration and development activities in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea in 2010.
