Ibrahim Palaz was appointed new general director of Botas International Limited (BIL) . In this post Palas will replace Salih Pasaoglu, the company reported.
BIL was first set up by Turkish State Pipeline Company Botas to establish cooperation with foreign companies. In 2001, BIL was reorganized to exploit the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline.
In 1997-2008, Palaz worked in various positions at Halliburton Company in Russia and Azerbaijan, as well as led the position of the vice-president of the company in Houston (Texas). In 2008-2010 he served as vice president for the Caspian Sea, Middle East and North Africa at the American engineering company Universal Pegasus based in Houston.
