A meeting of the joint working group of Kazakh KazMunaiGaz and Azerbaijani SOCAR has been completed in Baku. The establishment of Trans-Caspian oil transportation system was discussed there, SOCAR said today.
Foreign companies, which are participants of the projects to develop Kashagan and Tengiz fields in Kazakhstan, also took part in the meeting.
During the meeting the sides considered the schedule of the technical system design and implementation of other operations.
The talks also touched upon the commercial and legal aspects of the project.
Establishment of a Trans-Caspian oil transportation system is expected to supply Kazakh oil via Azerbaijan, including Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan to the Mediterranean coast of Turkey.
