Azerenergy intends to ensure power system stability

JSC Azerenergy (production and distribution of electricity in the regions of Azerbaijan) has identified an action plan to ensure the stable operation of power systems, organize the safe operation of equipment at substations, remove restrictions on power capacity and arrange rational use of water resources, the company reported today.

JSC Azerenergy (production and distribution of electricity in the regions of Azerbaijan) has identified an action plan to ensure the stable operation of power systems, organize the safe operation of equipment at substations, remove restrictions on power capacity and arrange rational use of water resources, the company reported today.

Based on the report, the repair of the units at Azerbaijan's thermal power plant, which is one of the largest electric utilities of the country, is carried out phase by phase. The station operates in accordance with the schedule, which provides opportunities for the implementation of these repairs - renovation of the first, second, sixth, seventh and eighth units, overhaul of the fifth unit, the upgrade of its monitoring and control systems, as well as the current planning repairs for the third and fourth blocks.

The company holds preparations for the autumn-winter season at the Shirvan thermal power plant. As part of preparatory work, it is planned to remove oil leakage at the compressor and turbine bearings, clean fuel oil sprayers on generators and turbines, ensure efficient operation of oil coolers, test condensers for hermeticity, isolate transmitters, restore  the damaged surface of the heat and fuel oil pipelines and other works.
