The International Energy Agency (IEA) forecasts an increase in global oil demand at 1.3 million barrels per day (1.6 percent) to 87.8 million barrels per day in 2011.

The International Energy Agency (IEA) forecasts an increase in global oil demand at 1.3 million barrels per day (1.6 percent) to 87.8 million barrels per day in 2011.

According to the IEA's report on the oil market published on Tuesday, increase in demand will be observed in 2011, mainly at the expense of countries-OECD-non-members (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development), where the growth in oil demand in 2011 is projected at 1,6 million barrels per day (3.8 percent). The IEA predicts reduction in demand for oil by 0,2 million barrels per day (0.5 percent) in OECD countries.

World oil demand in 2010 will increase by 1.8 million barrels per day (2,1 percent) up to 86.5 million barrels per day, the IEA forecasted.

According to the IEA, oil supplies by countries-OPEC-non-members will increase by 0.4 million barrels per day to 52.8 million barrels per day in 2011. Growth in oil supply by these countries amounted to 0,8 million barrels per day in 2010. Most growth in supply countries-OPEC-non-members will fall to Brazil, Azerbaijan, Colombia, Ghana and Oman in 2011.

Crude oil production by OPEC amounted to 28.9 million barrels per day in June, the IEA forecasted.
