Although some experts have predicted an increase in fuel prices in Georgia, prices have remained stable, Oil Importers and Producers Union Chairman Vano Mtvralashvili said.

He added that global oil prices are rising due to increasing demand.

"Last month, oil prices were stable and varied between $76-$77 per barrel," Mtvralashvili said.

He stressed that a stable global economy and a strong national currency have helped stabilize the domestic market.

"As to forecasts, fuel prices in Georgia will not change," Mtvralashvili said.

Super petrol in Georgia costs 1.95-2.0 lari per liter today. Premium petrol costs 1.9-1.95 lari. Euro Regular goes for 1.8-1.82 lari. Regular sells for 1.70-1.80 lari, Euro Diesel costs 1.90-1.95 lari and diesel costs 1.72-1.8 lari.
