Turkmengaz to build gas compressor station

The state concern Turkmengaz plans to build a gas compressor station "Malay" to increase gas export to China in accordance with the decree of Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhammedov.
The field "Malay" is recognized as one of the primary sources for gas export, including China via a pipeline, opened in December 2009 and passing through Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
The work will be launched in September 2010. The facility will be commissioned in December 2012.
A document was adopted to ensure the successful implementation of socio-economic development of Turkmenistan in 2011-2030 and the oil and gas industry development program up to 2030, as well as increase export of Turkmen natural gas.
The State Concern Turkmengaz is allowed to finance the construction of gas field "Malay" in the Lebap province of a gas compressor station with capacity of 30 bcm a year at Turkmengaz's funds by a mutual agreement with the state concern Turkmennebitgazgurlushyk.
It deals with a full readiness for operation on the actual expenditure in accordance with the definition of cost of construction and repair work, approved by the presidential decree.
