SOCAR will deliver oil on the Vietnamese refinery Dung Quat oil to the amount of 65,000 cubic meters in mid-August, Vietnamese media reported.
In April, SOCAR and Petrovietnam oil corporation signed the memorandum "Understanding" in the oil and gas sector and an agreement on long-term deliveries of Azerbaijani oil to the Vietnamese Oil Refineries. SOCAR Trading in Singapore will deal with oil supplies.
Dung Quat is the first refinery in Vietnam with a planned capacity of 6.5 million tons per year.
Last month Petrovietnam oil signed a contract to supply 300,000 tons of oil with Dung Quat. During the first half the volume of Petrovietnam's delivery to Dung Quat was 2.5 million tons of oil.
Today, Dung Quat's capacity is 135.500 barrels per day. It is planned to increase capacity to 170,000 barrels per day.
