EBRD to choose companies within energy program

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) intends to choose three projects of qualified companies or consortia to provide technical assistance in sustainable energy (energy efficiency, renewable energy sources, the conversion of municipal waste to energy) of the investment projects of the bank in Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, a message said.



EBRD works with several companies in the corporate sector. This is especially important for companies in Turkey, as well as Azerbaijan and Georgia. Funding will be used for different purposes.

This program will cover industry, agricultural complex, power engineering and natural resources. But it will be available to support any projects in the private sector. The main objectives of the program are to increase the priority projects in sustainable energy, ensure sustainability of the project included in the prospective investment plans of companies and promote renewable energy sources in the region.



The program will cover three main areas: assistance in a project preparation, project implementation, technical market research.

The program assumes that the contract period is thirty-six months. There is a possibility to renew the contract with the needs of the project, satisfactory work of consultants and availability of funding.

The maximal amount of the budget, provided for this project, amounts to 530.600 euros, excluding VAT.
