Iran will soon resume its swap-operations on oil products with Caspian countries and Iraq, the Mojnews news agency reported today.
Based on an agreement reached during talks between the leaders of Iran, Iraq and Turkmenistan, oil products will be exchanged on a swap system.
According to forecasts, the first oil product to be exchanged will be fuel for Iranian power plants. At present, Iran is also in talks with Kazakhstan to exchange oil products.
Tehran and Ashgabat are discussing increasing their oil product trading. One of Iran's goals this year is to increase its oil products exchange with Caspian countries by 30 percent.
