Azerbaijan, Baku, Dec. 3 /Trend/

The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) exported about 2.7 million tons of Azeri Light crude oil extracted from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli Field through the western Baku-Supsa oil pipeline in January- November compared to 2.55 million tons in January-November last year, SOCAR's Marketing and Economic Operations Department reported.

SOCAR exported about 2.8 million tons via Baku-Supsa in 2009 compared to 407,100 tons in 2008.

The company did not transport oil in this direction in 2007 due to repairs on the pipeline, which launched in November 2006. The pipeline was filled with oil in mid-2008, but was suspended due to the Georgian-South Ossetian conflict. Oil transportation was restored in early November 2008.

BP is the operator of the pipeline.
