In 2010, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) exported about 1.85 million tons of oil products from its own refineries compared to about 1.97 million tons in the same period of 2009.
In December SOCAR exported 129,000 tons of oil products compared to 116,300 tons in December 2009.
The country produces oil products at the Two Baku refineries with a total capacity of 20 million tons of oil per year. Both refineries belong to SOCAR, which annually processes approximately 7 million tons of oil from the Azerbaijani offshore and onshore fields.
