Georgian Prime Minister Nika Gilauri urged participants of the "Energy of the Future" World Energy Summit in the UAE to actively invest in Georgia.

As Gilauri told Georgian journalists, he paid special attention to investment prospects in hydropower plant and renewable energy facility construction.

A Georgian delegation headed by Gilauri is attending the summit.

"In my speech I focused on Georgia's hydro potential," he said. "We are already exporting electricity to our neighbors and in the near future we intend to increase exports. This requires investment and we hope to attract Arab investments for these goals."

Gilauri has held several meetings as part of the summit.
