The International Energy Agency's (IEA) Executive Director Nobuo Tanaka warned countries that cutting greenhouse gas emissions blamed for climate change would be more costly without nuclear energy, Bloomberg reported.

The public should be patient with atomic power stations until causes of Japan's reactor accident are known, Tanaka said today at a Paris conference.
