Retail fuel prices in Georgia will increase by 5-10 tetri after two-three weeks while keeping oil price above $ 100 a barrel, Visol Company director general Vasily Khorava said.
He said that such a high rate is primarily a short-term price ceiling and unlikely to remain. Khorava hopes that such a high price will not be kept long and the Georgian market will avoid another price hike.
According to experts, the lower limit price of oil will not drop below $100 a barrel, although these assumptions may not be justified.
Khorava commented on the crisis, saying that experts forecast a lower limit oil price of $150 per barrel, sometimes $ 200. The predictions proved wrong, however.
