Both national standards AZS and regional State Standard operates in this sphere in Azerbaijan.
"Our goal is the compliance of national with international standards," Abdullayev said.
The committee will review all existing oil and gas field standards and determine if they comply with modern requirements. In case of discrepancies, the committee will define which standards should be applied in Azerbaijan's oil and gas industry - from drilling to petroleum production. An action plan will also be prepared, based on which Azerbaijan's oil and gas standards will be announced over the next several years.
