Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov received Saudi Oil and Mineral Resources Minister Ali Bin Ibrahim Al Naimi today.
"Saudi Arabia pays great attention to developing cooperation with Turkmenistan," the minister was quoted as saying.
"Turkmenistan also values its friendship and fruitful cooperation with Saudi Arabia, which have entered a new level in recent years," Berdymukhamedov said.
The interlocutors examined cooperation in the fuel and energy sector.
Turkmenistan implements its national fuel and energy sector modernization strategy, which hinges on raising the sector's production and refining capacities, introducing innovation technologies, and diversifying energy export routes.
"The rapidly developing Turkmen market is exceptionally attractive for business circles," the minister said.
PetroSaud Int. earlier offered the Turkmen government several investment projects in the oil and gas industry, which is the strategic branch of the country's economy.
