Rate of gasification of subscribers in Azerbaijan at present is about 82 percent, the head of Gasification and Development Department of Azerigas Production Unit of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Kamran Jafarov said.
"This figure varies because the number of subscribers is constantly changing. But now the rate of gasification is about 82 percent," he said.
Jafarov said that at present active work is underway on gasification and upgrading of infrastructure in all regions of Azerbaijan. The work program envisaged for 2011, focuses the gasification of regions located on the front line.
"Work on gasification is conducted in the country's all regions, as well as in Baku and surrounding villages," the source said.
At present, the number of Azerigas subscribers, excluding Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is around 1.3 million.
