The total volume of gas production in Kazakhstan in January-April amounted to 13.436 billion cubic meters compared to 12.726 billion cubic meters during the same period last year, the Kazakh Statistics Agency's National Dispatching Department told Trend.
In April, the volume of gas production amounted to 3.252 billion cubic meters compared to over 3 billion cubic meters during the same period of 2010. Compared to the same period of 2010, gas production increased by 8.3 percent, while natural gas production decreased by 12.8 percent.
Gas production in the country in April 2011 decreased by 7.5 percent and natural gas production by 6 percent compared to the previous month.
Average daily gas production in Kazakhstan in April 2011 hit 108.4 million cubic meters, including natural gas production- 54 million cubic meters.
