Uzbekistan plans to build a gas processing plant in the Surkhandarya region in southern Uzbekistan with a processing capacity of 4 billion cubic meters of gas per year by 2015.

The Malaysian Petronas and the Arabian Delta Oil Company will carry out the construction on the basis of the Gadzhak Field in the Boysun investment block. The primary cost is $500.

The Malaysian Petronas Carigali Overseas Sdn. Bhd and the Saudi Arabian Delta Oil signed the PSA for oil and gas field development in the Boysun investment block for 35 years.

The PSA came into force in September. The design capacity of the gas production is estimated at 2.5 billion cubic meters.

Petronas and Delta Oil signed an agreement establishing an investment consortium for the PSA in April 2011.
