Iran Securities and Exchange High Council approved to launch energy exchange focusing on electricity production, Mehr News Agency reported quoting Deputy of Iran Grid Management Co Reza Riahi as saying.
"The Securities and ExchangeHigh Councilapproved launching energy exchange with power focus," he said. "Therefore, the country has Oil Exchange and Energy Exchange to boost trades in energy sector."
The Securities and Exchange Council called on shareholders to participate in energy exchange.
The energy exchange will launch preparations for trade in the second half of current solar year (started on March 20, 2011).
