Azerbaijan , Baku, June 27 /Trend/

Iran plans to develop gas pipelines in Sirri Island and transfer gas into Abu Mousa Island and neighboring countries, SHANA reported quoting Managing Director of Iranian Offshore Oil Company Mohammad Zirakchianzadeh as saying.

"A total of 25 million cubic gas and oil were produced in Sirri Island," he said. "The fuel was also delivered to Kish gas refinery. However, the volume of production will increase up to 45 mcm per day by launching a new gas compressor station."

Iran negotiated with neighboring countries to export gas through Sirri Island pipeline in the future.

The company plans to install LNG equipments. On final stages it will produce gas derivatives like propane, butane and gas condensates.

The development project increases the production up to 140 million cubic meters gas per day, creates jobs and makes more than $150million-foreign exchange revenues.
