Iran will double gas production from Lavan gas field and plans to launch new oil well, Pananews reported quoting Acting Head of Lavan Operational Zone Abbas Rajab Khani as saying.
"Currently Lavan gas field produces 7 to 8 million cubic foot natural gas per day from third well," he said.
The National Iranian Oil Product Distribution Company plans to doubles current production and replace fuel gas in Lavan's refineries with diesel.
The second well will be launch by mid August to continue production and support of third well.
Lavan gas field's reserve is estimated to be 5.6 TFC. According to the development plan of Lavan gas field, drilling of 12 wells and daily production of 800 million cubic foot natural gas are predicted
