Iran will restart to export gas to Turkey and currently process of pipeline repair is on the final stage, Fars News Agency reported quoting the National Iranian Gas Company spokesman Majid Boujarzadeh as saying.
"The gas pipeline is on the final repairing stage and the gas will start to flow in the pipeline on Saturday noon," he said.
An explosion hit Iran's gas pipeline route to Turkey Friday which led to halt of Iran's gas export to Turkey however the National Iranian Gas Company has not identified the cause yet.
Iran exports more than 30 million cubic meters of natural gas per day to Turkey. The figure was 21mcm per day on 2009.
Islamic republic of Iran posses 16 percent of world's gas reservoirs and ranks second in the world in terms of natural gas reserves after Russia.
