Iran's peak electrical demand increases by 1,200 MW

Iran 's peak electrical demand increased by 1,225 mega watt to 37,298 mega watt, IRNA reported quoting Energy Ministry data.

The peak electrical demand Friday was 1,421 mega watt while the power consumption in country's industries increased by 508 mega watt to 2,891.

The peak electrical demand is the greatest amount of electricity consumed by customers at any given time.

Iran 's industries power production reached 694 mega watt Friday while the power intake increased by 1,61 mega watt to 2,891 mega watt.

Iran 's power plants capacities increased to 51,33 mega watt indicating 3,61 mega watt increase comparing last year(ended on March20,2011).

The power plants production also raised to 38,114 mega watt.

It is expected that Iran's peak electrical demand will increase this summer to 45,000 megawatt however, the figure will reduce to 43,000 megawatt by removing subsides.
