Turkey has sent 14,000 tons of Euro diesel to Libya under an agreement with the Libyan rebel National Transitional Council (NTC), the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported on Tuesday.

Turkish Petroleum International Company (TPIC) officials were quoted as saying that a ship carrying fuel oil arrived at the Benghazi Port of Libya, adding that the NTC wanted to continue buying fuel oil from Turkey, Xinhua reported.

"The first delivery costs about 30 million U.S. dollars. They assured us about the payment. If we can agree on the payment, we will make another delivery of 150 million U.S. dollars in the days ahead of us," they said.
