SOCAR establishes chemical exports to Turkey
Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept.6 / Trend, E. Ismayilov /
More than 50 percent of the products exported by the Azerkimya Production Unit account for the Turkish market, Azerkimya PU head Mukhtar Babayev said on Tuesday.
He said Azerkimya exports polyethylene, propylene, isopropyl alcohol, polyethylene glycol, propylene glycol and other chemical products to Turkey.
"We have already established export pf products to Turkey. Some products are sold directly off the shelf, while other types are processed at the Petkim petrochemical complex and sold in a more attractive way for buyers," Babayev said.
As Babayev said earlier SOCAR's Azerkimya plans to produce about 216,400 tons of chemical products at its enterprises in 2011. The PU's enterprises produced 137,060 tons in the first half of the year, of which 120,000 tons were exported. Accordingly, the main part of Azerkimya's production is oriented to export.
