Total production of gas amounted to 26.33 billion cubic meters in Kazakhstan in January-August 2011, as compared to 24.943 billion cubic meters during the same period in 2010, the Kazakh Statistics Agency dispatching management told Trend.
Gas production in Kazakhstan totaled 3.365 bcm in August compared to 3.102 bcm during the same period last year. Natural gas production increased by 8.5 percent and natural gas production increased by 18.2 percent, as compared to August 2010.
The country's gas production increased by 12.1 percent and natural gas production increased by 4.2 percent in August 2011, compared to the previous month.
The implementation of the plan in August for the country's gas extraction amounted to 95.2 percent extracted gas, and natural gas extracted at 102.4 percent.
