SOCAR plans to finish repairing wells and gas transport infrastructure according to the schedule for Azerbaijani underground storage facilities, a source in SOCAR told Trend on Monday.
The period will end in December.
He said the repairs are already underway.
Two new wells are being drilled at Garadagh gas storage facility. The drilling equipment is being installed to start drilling of two wells at Kalmaz underground gas storage facility, the source said.
"One drilling rig has been installed at Kalmaz gas storage facility," he said. Another rig is being installed."
SOCAR plans to drill ten new wells at two storage facilities this year. Six wells will be drilled at Kalmaz and four - at Garadagh gas storage.
New wells are drilled and old ones are repaired to increase the volume of gas pumping into gas storage facilities.
