SOCAR opened a filling station in the town of Samtredia, western Georgia today.
The representatives of local authorities and SOCAR Georgia Energy president Mahir Mammadov attended the opening ceremony.

"We continue our policy of opening filling stations, developing the infrastructure and promoting the development of energy sector in Georgia," he told press.

SOCAR Georgia Energy has opened 80 filling stations in Georgia.

SOCAR Georgia Petroleum is engaged in sales of the Azerbaijani oil products in Georgia. It started its activity in 2006 and is SOCAR Energy Georgia's 100-percent owned subsidiary.
SOCAR has a number of gas stations in Azerbaijan. Gas stations are also gradually opening under SOCAR brand in Ukraine. SOCAR is currently working to establish a network of gas stations in Romania.
