In January-September, the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic ( SOCAR ) sold about 284,000 tons of Azerbaijani oil products on the Georgian market compared to over 296,500 tons in January-September 2010, a source in SOCAR Energy Georgia, which represents SOCAR's interests in Georgia , said.
He said about 91,000 tons of gasoline, 190,700 tons of diesel fuel , 12,810 tons of bitumen and over 10,300 tons of liquefied gas have been sold on the market since early 2011.
In 2010 , SOCAR sold 442,000 tons of Azerbaijani oil products on the Georgian market compared to 406,000 tons in 2009 .
The country produces oil products at the two Baku oil refineries with a total capacity of 20 million tons of oil per year. Both oil refineries are owned by SOCAR, which annually processes about 6-7 million tons of oil from the Azerbaijani offshore and onshore fields.
