KazMunayGas reduces oil production

The volume of oil and gas condensate production by the group of companies of KazMunayGas over the first 9 months of 2011 totaled 15.7 million tons or four percent less as compared to the same period of 2010, the press service of the national company said on Tuesday.

According to information, natural gas production during this period was 2.1 million tons, remaining at the level of the indicator in 2010.

The volume of oil transportation via main pipelines totaled 50.4 million tons or three percent more than the same period of 2010. During Jan.-Sept., the volume of oil transportation via sea amounted to 6.2 million tons, increasing by 22 percent.

Volume of gas transportation was 82 billion cubic meters, which is nine percent higher than last year.

As of Oct. 1, consolidated oil refining (including The Rompetrol Group) amounted to 11.4 million tons of oil, which is 0.3 percent more than last year. During the reported period, processing capacity at the three Kazakh refineries totaled 8.2 million tons of oil.

According to preliminary, unaudited data, the consolidated revenue of KMG in Jan.-Sept. amounted to 2.03 trillion tenge, exceeding the same indicator of 2010 by 22 percent.

Consolidated profit during the reported period amounted to 306.6 billion tenge, which is ten percent more than the same period of 2010.

According to operative data, in Jan.-Sept. KMG spent 387.1 million tenge on taxes and other obligatory payments, which is 23 percent more than the same period of the last year.

Total procurement by KMG group of companies over the first nine months of 2011 amounted to 1.4 trillion tenge, of which 747.4 billion tenge was spent on purchasing goods, 272 billion tenge - works, 380.8 billion tenge - services. At the same time, the Kazakh content in the total amount of purchases was 678.4 billion tenge or 48 percent, in the goods - 38 percent, works - 61 percent, in the procurement of services - 59 percent.

KazMunayGas National Company is Kazakhstan's national operator for exploration, production, processing and transportation. 100 percent of KazMunayGas shares is owned by the Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund.
