Sangachal terminal exports over 228 mln barrels of oil in January-September

During the first nine months of 2011, the Sangachal Terminal exported about 228.6 million barrels of oil via pipelines and railway, BP said on its report on nine months of 2011 on its official website.

Some 201 million barrels of the total volume of oil exported from the terminal were transported via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC), 21.7 million barrels through the western route export pipeline (WREP) and 4.7 million barrels through rail.

By the end of October these numbers were 252.4 million barrels of oil, including 222 million barrels through BTC, 24 million barrels through the WREP and 5 million barrels through rail.

On average about 16.6 million standard cubic meters of Shah Deniz gas was exported from the terminal daily during the first three quarters of the year. By the end of October, 2011 these numbers were about 17 million standard cubic meters.

Oil and gas from ACG and Shah Deniz continue to flow via subsea pipelines to the Sangachal terminal.

The capacity of the terminal's overall processing systems is currently 1.2 million barrels of oil and 25.5 million cubic metres of Shah Deniz gas per day (about 39.5 million cubic metres in total) per day.
