The Kazakh government is currently considering the cost of jet fuel, responsible secretary of the Kazakh Ministry of oil and gas Kanatbek Safinov told the media today.

"Kazakhstan imports most of its jet fuel from outside and if oil prices are increased, the price of jet fuel also goes up. Therefore, the government is discussing the settlement of the situation with jet fuel," he said

He said that the issue of introducing state regulation is being considered by fixing maximum prices on jet fuel, but it is difficult to use this measure.

"The market affects the airports and suppliers," he said.
