The State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) exported about 1.45 million tons of oil products from its own refineries in 2011 compared to over 1.8 million tons in 2010, SOCAR said on Thursday.
SOCAR exported around 104,270 tons of oil products in December 2011 compared to around 129,000 tons in December 2010.
The country produces oil products at two Baku refineries with a total capacity of 20 million tons of oil per year. Both refineries belong to SOCAR, which annually processes approximately 7 million tons of oil from the Azerbaijani offshore and onshore fields.
