Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the Law on gas and gas supply, presidential press service reported on Monday.

"The law is aimed at providing energy and environmental security of the country, creating conditions for constant gas supply to the customers and increasing share of gas in the fuel and energy balance," the statement said.

Moreover, the law will create the conditions for effective use of associated gas for domestic needs and efficient and safe operation of gas supply systems.

The document provides a schedule of gas supply to the domestic market, based on the needs of the regions, Novosti-Kazakhstan reported.

Moreover, to liquidate fly-by-night firms, existing on the natural gas market, the law envisages introduction of gas organizations accreditation.

According to the law, liquefied natural gas maximum wholesale price will be determined by the government.

Moreover, the law introduces the concept of a unified system of commodity gas supply for the first time in legislation. According to the law, all the disparate objects of gas supply system, regardless of their ownership and membership will be merged into a single system. This system will help to ensure the constant gas supply in domestic market.
