Despite threatening and speculations, the Nabucco project will be implemented, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz said at a bilateral energy conference in Tbilisi.
"We are partners in the Nabucco project and try to contribute to its implementation by all means," Yildiz stressed.
Yildiz said all the existing problems, associated with Nabucco, will be resolved.
Yildiz noted that there are not enough projects to supply gas to Europe by alternative routes up to 2035, therefore it is necessary to implement all the existing projects, including Shah Deniz project.
The Nabucco project is intended to transport natural gas from the Caspian region and Middle East to the EU. Its construction is scheduled to begin in 2013 with commissioning in 2017. Its maximum capacity is 31 billion cubic meters per year. Austrian OMV, Hungarian MOL, Bulgarian Bulgargaz, Romanian Transgaz, Turkish Botas and German RWE are the participants in Nabucco.
