Azerbaijan, Baku, Jan. 30 / Trend E. Ismayilov /
A gas leak in the Kazi-Magomed-Gazakh main gas pipeline will not affect Azerbaijani gas exports to Georgia, the Azerigas production association told Trend today.
"The leakage occurred on the pipeline to provide the population with gas," the production association said. "Therefore, this will have no effect on gas exports to Georgia. The pipeline operates in a normal mode."
Azerigaz said a special technique was used to eliminate leakage.
Operations were launched to cut off gas supplies.
Azerigaz deals with transportation and natural gas sales issues in Azerbaijan.
