Turkmenistan auctions about 500,000 tons of oil products

Turkmenistan auctioned about 500,000 tons of oil products from the Turkmenbashi refinery, and refineries in the Saydi and Nayip gas-processing complex at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange.

The country put as stock trades about 160,000 tons of gasoline, about 110,000 tons of diesel fuel, 20,000 tons of oil coke, 10,000 tons of furnace oil, 160,000 tons of fuel oil, 30,000 tons of straight-run gasoline, about 60,000 tons of liquefied gas and 10,000 tons of kerosene.

Some 33 deals were registered at the Turkmen State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange.

Companies from Turkey and the British Virgin Islands bought gasoline, hydrotreated diesel fuel and calcined oil coke. Total amount of contracts, including on sale of oil products exceeds $59 million.

The representatives from Azerbaijan, China, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Iran and other countries are the traditional participants of the auction.

The Commodity Exchange is a principal organ of state regulation of export-import operations in Turkmenistan.
