Kulevi terminal recognized best in infrastructure

Black Sea Terminal LLC has been awarded with the Diploma of "The Oil and Oil Product's Transshipment Marine Terminal with the Best Infrastructure" at the awarding ceremony, organized by the Union of Oil Products' Producers, Importers and Consumers of Georgia in Tbilisi. The awarding ceremony is traditionally held every year in the capital of Georgia and all oil companies operating in the country compete for the prizes in various nominations, the terminal said today.
As in previous years the Terminal succeeded in leaving behind all competitors and preserving the right to be called the Terminal with the best infrastructure. It should be noted that the Terminal has been winning this nomination four years in a row. This has been achieved through hard work, high discipline and great responsibility shown by BST staff.
The Terminal will try to justify this high appreciation and continue developing its professional standards to high levels in the future.
Kulevi terminal was put into operation in summer 2008. Its total capacity is 10 million tons of oil per year, including 3 million tons of oil, 3 million tons of diesel fuel, and 4 million tons of fuel oil.
The terminal can accommodate up to 168 tank cars. The tank farm's total volume is 320,000 cubic meters with the possibility of increasing to 380,000 cubic meters. The port has two berths to load petroleum products in tankers of up to 100,000 tons.
Loading productivity ranges from 1,000 to 8,000 cubic meters per hour. The railway station, which can simultaneously accommodate up to 180 carriage awaiting discharge of cargo, serves to the port. The railway trestle can simultaneously unload 168 carriages.
