The National Holding Company Uzbekneftegaz constructed 21 sites for exploratory drilling in 2011. Ten areas are currently under deep exploratory drilling. In all about 36 exploration wells were constructed, the company said today.

The National Holding Company Uzbekneftegaz constructed 21 sites for exploratory drilling in 2011. Ten areas are currently under deep exploratory drilling. In all about 36 exploration wells were constructed, the company said today.

According to the company, seven fields (Sherkent, Sagirtau, Darahtli, Oydin, Ruboyi, Karatepa and Dasmanaga were discovered last year.

The reserves in Kushimcha, Chegarakum, Matonat, Feruza, Eastern Khartoum, Khartoum, Sardob, Boston, Markazi Awal, Lyalmikar were calculated and recalculated.

Oil and gas exploration on the investment blocks was held by a consortium of investors (Uzbekneftegaz, Lukoil Overseas Holding, CNPC and KNOC).

Lukoil subsidiaries - Lukoil Uzbekistan Operating Company and Lukoil Hissar Operating Company, Gazprom Zarubezhneftegaz (Russia), Petronas Carigali Overseas Sdn.Bhd (Petronas, Malaysia), Gissarneftegaz, Uzgazoyl, Kossor Operating Company (Vietnam), KNOC, KOGAS, Daewoo Energy Central Asia (Korea), Mingbulakneft and CNPC Silk Road Group (China).

Foreign companies are ready to start exploratory drilling of eight structures. The CNPC Silk Road Group Company discovered the East Alat field. About 57 wells, including 33 oil as well as 24 gas sites were put into operation last year and 36 investment projects were implemented in 2011. About 251.9 kilometres of gas distribution networks were commissioned in 2011.
Consumer goods worth 674.1 billion soums, or five per cent more than in 2010 were produced.

A technical audit was conducted at 20 large enterprises last year. The total volume of technological equipment stood at 19,343 units, of which 20 per cent require modernisation. The measures have been developed for technical and technological renovation and expansion of existing facilities.

Several social facilities, a sports complex in the city of Namangan are also planned to be commissioned.
