Four-dimensional geophysical studies completed in Azerbaijani sector of Caspian Sea

Caspian Geophysical has completed four-dimensional geophysical studies on the "Eastern Azeri" field, which is part of the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli (ACG) oil and gas fields' block in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, a source in oil and gas market told Trend on Tuesday.

BP, which is operator of the ACG fields' development, ordered the work on the field.

"Geophysical studies on the "Central Azeri" field are fully completed," the source said.
Caspian Geophysical carried out work on the contract area from the geophysical vessel Gilavar.

The contract to develop a large offshore field Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli was signed in 1994.

Participants to develop Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli are: BP (operator - 35.83 percent), Chevron (11.27 percent), Inpex (10.96 percent), AzACG (11.6 percent), Statoil (8.56 percent), Exxon (8 percent), TPAO (6.75 percent), Itocu (4.3 percent) and Hess (2.72 percent).
