Daily volume of gas from Shah Deniz exceeds 20 million cubic meters

The daily volume of gas produced from the Azerbaijani offshore gas condensate field Shah Deniz exceeds 20 million cubic meters, an oil and gas market source told Trend.
Daily gas production by SOCAR from fields developed independently amounted to 17 million cubic meters.

Daily gas production produced from underground storage facilities amounted to 14 million cubic meters.

Some 13-14 million cubic meters of gas was delivered to Azerenergy to provide fuel to power plants, the source said. Approximately 22 million cubic meters of gas per day delivered to the distribution network to meet the needs of consumers in gas, 13 million
cubic meters of which accounts for Baku and the rest for the regions of the country.

Twelve million cubic meters exported to Turkey and three million cubic meters of gas to Georgia in the framework of export from Shah Deniz field, the source said.

Reserves of Shah Deniz field are estimated at 1.2 trillion cubic meters of gas.

The contract to develop Shah Deniz was signed June 4, 1996. Participants are BP (operator) - 25.5 percent, Statoil - 25.5 percent, NICO - 10 percent, Total - 10 percent, Lukoil - 10 percent, TPAO - 9 percent, and SOCAR - 10 percent.
