Batumi Port increases oil transshipment

The Batumi Oil Terminal has increased crude oil and petroleum product transshipments in March, the Port Authority told Trend on Monday.

According to the information the terminal transshipped 530 592.9 tons of crude oil and petroleum products in March.

Some 293 965.1 tons of petroleum products were recycled in March 2011.

Batumi Oil Terminal handled 12 465.5 tons of diesel fuel, 38 558.4 tons of gasoline, 39 695.1 tons of other light products, 362 731.5 tons of crude oil, 60 316.8 tons of fuel oil, 16 826.5 tons propane-butane mixture in March.

The port is located in the southwestern part of the Black Sea. In February 2008, the Kazakh KazTransOil received the rights for the port's long-term management and acquired Batumi Oil Terminal.
