Some 242 189 meters were drilled in Kazakhstan in January-February, 2012 compared to 209 904 meters during the same month of 2011, the Central Dispatching Department of the Kazakh Statistics Agency told Trend.
The total volume of drilling operations was fulfilled by 73 percent in February, 2012. Some 106 859 meters were drilled in Kazakhstan in February. It was planned to drill 146 299 meters.
The volume of exploratory drilling was fulfilled by 111 percent in February, 2012. Some 23 138 meters were drilled. It was planned to drill 20 888 meters.
