New oil refinery will be built in North-Kazakhstan region with participation of investment of Chinese, Slovenian and Kazakh companies, Kazenergy association reported with reference to KazTAG.
The oil refinery will be constructed under the state program on "Comprehensive plan of Kazakhstan's oil refineries development for 2009-2015".
North-Kazakhstan's region head Serik Bilyalov promised to provide full support to this project. According to Bilyalov, the oil refinery will be constructed in the suburbs of the town of Bulayevo near Ufa oil pipeline.
According to the head of Chinese Shaaks Ksinghuo Industries Group Zheng Tao Yuan, capacity of the new oil refinery will hit 5 million tons of oil per year. About $2 billions will be invested in its construction. In the future the oil refinery's capacity can be increased up to 10 million tons per year. New technologies will be used in the project and it will be ecologically safe.
According to Kazenergoregion Investment company's president Kazhimkan Massimov, climatic conditions of North-Kazakhstan region completely meet the requirements for construction of the oil refinery.
Director General of the Slovenian house in Kazakhstan Joze Mekh, in turn, drew attention to the favorable investment climate in Kazakhstan.
"Our company intends to continue its partnership with Kazakh Kazenergoregion and participate in a joint project on building oil refinery and development of social infrastructure in North-Kazakhstan region," Mekh said.
