Kazakh Shymkent refinery closed for scheduled repair works on Monday, Kazakhstan Today reported.
The repair works at the refinery will continue up to November 5.
The repair works are aimed at plant operation improving and increase of its equipment safety and reliability.
The refinery closure should not affect the fuel prices due to certain reserve of gasoline in the country.
Currently Kazakhstan has three oil refineries: Shymkent refinery, Atyrau refinery and Pavlodar petrochemical plant.
