In January-September, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) produced over 6.17 million tons of oil on the country's offshore and onshore fields compared to over 6.32 million tons in January-September last year, SOCAR said on Tuesday.
According to the report, SOCAR produced 680,100 tons of oil in September compared to 692,770 tons in September 2011.
According to SOCAR, a total of 32.76 million tons of oil was produced in Azerbaijan in January-September 2012 compared to 35.52 million tons in January-September 2011. In particular in September 2012, the figure was 3.46 million tons compared to 3.75 million tons in September 2011.
More than 45.6 million tons of oil was produced in the country last year compared to 50.8 million tons in 2010. About 8.4 million tons of the total oil volume produced last year accounted for SOCAR compared to 8.46 million tons in 2010.
