Syria stops buying electricity from Turkey

Syria stopped buying electric power from Turkey last week, Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Taner Yildiz was quoted by TRT Haber TV channel as saying.
Earlier, the Turkish side said that Turkey has temporarily extended the electric power supply to Syria, despite the term of the agreement between the two countries having expired at the end of June this year.
Turkey delivers 232.2 million kilowatt / hours of electric power to Syria every month.
